ROCKPORT CASUAL DRESS DESIGNS

In early 2005 I was working on Rockport brand footwear for Reebok company (during Adidas acquisition), hence my monthly checks were written by Reebok Company, not Adidas. A little bit of history, Rockport was created in 1970s and sold to British athletic footwear giant (past tense) Reebok in 1986.

The core DNA of Rockport footwear is comfort and walking. Rockport introduced the modern day lightweight and technology infused comfort shoe in 1973. Comfort shoe footwear was design and created as alternative to sneakers, keeping a formal traditional look rather than a total casual street aesthetics of a sneaker. In a simple way, Rockport sought to combine traditional footwear style, incorporate the lightness and comfort of a running shoe.
